Italian summer festivals feature music and virtual reality

Various cultural and musical festivals are taking place across Italy this August.

In Acri, the 14th International Campus Festival, organized by Amici della Musica di Acri APS, runs from August 20 to 28. The event combines traditional musical performances, such as South American and Brazilian music, with immersive technology. Specifically, the festival features “Cultura Immersiva,” a virtual reality experience held at the Chiostro di San Domenico, and concludes with a concert by the Campus clarinet students.

In Amalfi, the Amalfi Summer Fest continues its program of free events. On Friday, August 21, the singer Karima is scheduled to perform her “Lifetime” project at Piazza Municipio. The performance features an acoustic quartet and focuses on reinterpreting works by renowned Italian and international singer-songwriters.
