Italian swimmers medal at European Para Swimming Championships

Italian swimmers achieved significant success at the European Para Swimming Championships in Kocaeli, Turkey.

Antonio Fantin secured his second gold medal of the competition in the 400m freestyle S6, finishing with a time of 4’58”24. This victory, coming within 48 hours of his 100m freestyle gold, marks the 13th continental title of his career. Fantin maintained a substantial lead, finishing more than eight seconds ahead of silver medalist Andrey Granichka and bronze medalist Mikhail Evseenko.

Federico Bicelli earned a silver medal in the 100m freestyle S7 with a time of 1’01”03. He finished behind Ukraine’s Andrii Trusov, who clocked 59”80. This performance marks Bicelli’s second medal of the championships, following a gold medal in the 400m freestyle, bringing his total European medal count to 16.
