Italian Tango Festival and Ballet Showcase Highlight August 2026 Arts

The final stage of the Onorata Milonga Festival took place in Seborga, Italy, on 9 August 2026. Organized by the municipality and Casa de Tango, the free concert featured the Duo Acosta, performing a repertoire that spanned classic and contemporary tango, accompanied by bandoneonist David Pecetto. The event also included a temporary macro‑photography exhibition and local food offerings for attendees.

On 1 August 2026, the Balletto del Sud presented “From Italy with love” in the cloister of the Teatini Monastery in Lecce. Choreographed and directed by Fredy Franzutti, the production combined classical, neoclassical and contemporary dance to a musical collage of Italian songs from Monteverdi to modern pop. Highlights included duets by Giulia Ricciardulli and Ovidiu Chitanu, a dramatic solo by Alice Leoncini on “Sempre libera,” and a contemporary pair by Eliana Bologna and Lorenzo Lanzafame.

Both events celebrated Italian cultural heritage through music and dance, drawing audiences from across the region.
