Italy pushes ahead with 2025‑2027 public‑sector contract negotiations

The national collective bargaining round for the 2025‑2027 period is moving forward across several public‑sector categories in Italy. On 8 July the health‑sector negotiating table met at ARAN and will reconvene on 22 July to discuss the economic part of the contract, after covering regulatory issues such as AI use in employment relations. ARAN president Antonio Naddeo said the meeting was “positive and productive” and allowed progress on the normative chapter.

In education, the new collective agreement for teachers, ATA staff, university and research employees has been signed and the government’s NoiPA platform confirmed that arrears and salary increases will be paid in a special August 2026 payroll. The adjustments affect roughly 1.2 million workers, with average monthly raises of €143 for teachers and €107 for ATA staff, plus lump‑sum arrears of about €855 and €633 respectively.

The police and armed forces’ SIULP technical table also met on 10 July, finalising the salary‑point increase to €207.51 from 2027 and outlining a dedicated pension‑fund table to be set up within 90 days of the contract signing. The government pledged additional resources in the 2027 budget to support these measures.
