Italian television features new crime drama series

Italian television is featuring new crime drama series in 2026. On Rai 1, the program ‘Morgane - Detective Geniale’ follows the investigations of Morgane, including a case involving the death of a gynecologist and various murder investigations.

On Canale 5, the miniseries ‘Erica una detective per caso’ is set to premiere on September 2, 2026. An Italian adaptation of the French series ‘Erica’, which is inspired by the novels of Camilla Läckberg, the show is set in Piombino, Tuscany. The story follows Erica Magliani, a thriller writer who returns to her hometown and becomes involved in a criminal investigation alongside Commissioner Leonardo Carrese.
