Jannik Sinner trains in Monte Carlo with glucose monitor ahead of Wimbledon

World number one Jannik Sinner returned to training in Monte Carlo as he prepares for Wimbledon. While in the principality he was photographed dining with his girlfriend Laila Hasanovic and Formula 1 driver George Russell, a scene that highlighted his close ties to motorsport personalities.

In recent photos and videos Sinner was also seen with a small device attached to his arm. The sensor is a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) used to track his blood‑sugar levels throughout the day. After experiencing sudden fatigue, nausea and low energy at the French Open, his team conducted medical examinations in Italy, including at Milan’s San Raffaele Hospital, and introduced the CGM to better understand his metabolic responses during intense training, heat and stress. The data helps optimise his nutrition, recovery and performance ahead of the grass‑court season.
