Marco Cecchinato earned a place in the main draw of the Umag tournament by defeating Argentina’s Genaro Alberto Olivieri 6‑2, 6‑4. The 1992‑born Palermo player will meet one of several possible opponents – Argentine Burruchaga or Ugo Carabelli, Hungarian Maroszan or German McDonald – after the draw.
