Italian theater history and literature featured in regional exhibitions

Cultural initiatives in Italy are highlighting the intersection of literature, scenography, and performance. In Nuoro, Sardinia, the 'Drammaturgie del Destino' series explores the connection between the writings of Grazia Deledda and contemporary dramaturgy. The program includes study sessions on Deledda’s themes of self-determination and the screening of the documentary 'Non ti uccisero a colpo di spillo'.

In Casalmaggiore, the Museo Diotti has launched an exhibition tracing the history of Italian theatrical scenography from the 18th to the 20th century. The collection features sketches and documents, including works from the Carlo Rissone collection. Rissone, a former assistant scenographer at Cinecittà, amassed a significant archive of works by prestigious artists during his career between the 1960s and 1980s.
