Italian theaters announce new seasonal programming and expansions

The Italian theater scene is highlighting new seasonal developments at major venues. Teatro Franco Parenti, led by Andrée Ruth Shammah, is celebrating its fiftieth season titled ‘Caos e stelle danzanti’. The venue is undergoing expansion and revitalization, including the development of the Largo Franco Parenti outdoor space. This project is supported by a fundraising campaign involving Banca Intesa and the Fondazione Pier Lombardo to create a more accessible community hub.

In Rome, Teatro Tordinona has announced the second season of the ‘STREMATE’ theatrical saga. The first episode of this new season, ‘STREMATE: Ultimo tanga a Parigi’, directed by Patrizio Cigliano, is scheduled to run from October 6 to October 18, 2026. The production features Paola Migneco, Giulia Ricciardi, Francesca Romana Succi, and Marina Vitolo, exploring themes of female identity through a comedic plot involving a visit to France and a planned theft at the Louvre.
