Italian theaters announce new seasons and reopenings

Several historic Italian theaters are announcing new seasons or reopening after closures. In Rome, the Teatro Eliseo and Piccolo Eliseo are set to reopen on September 28 and October 2, respectively, following a six-year hiatus. Managed by Alessandro Longobardi of Viola Produzioni, the reopening features performances by prominent actors including Lina Sastri, Milena Vukotic, Anna Bonaiuto, and Lella Costa.

In Venice, the Teatrino Groggia is launching the sixth season of its “A pesca di sogni” program. Running from October 25 to April 12, the initiative includes 11 shows and 19 performances tailored to various age groups, ranging from toddlers to school-aged children. The program, curated by La Piccionaia Centro di Produzione Teatrale and promoted by the Municipality of Venice, also features specialized workshops and educational sessions for local schools.
