Italian theaters announce upcoming symphonic and operatic seasons

Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa is launching its 2026-2027 symphonic season on October 22 with a program dedicated to Romanticism. Conducted by Jordi Bernàcer, the concert features violinist Kevin Zhu performing Paganini’s Concerto No. 2. The program also includes Rossini’s ‘La scala di seta’ and Berlioz’s ‘Symphonie fantastique'.

In Naples, Teatro di San Carlo will conclude its 2025/26 concert season on October 24. Directed by Fabrizio Cassi, the performance focuses on the early compositional works of Giuseppe Verdi, featuring pieces written between 1825 and 1839. The program highlights Verdi’s formative years in Busseto, including symphonies and a mass performed by the theater's orchestra, choir, and vocal soloists.
