Italian towns celebrate feast of the Madonna del Rosario
Various Italian communities have held celebrations for the feast of the Madonna del Rosario. In Positano, located on the Amalfi Coast, the event featured a procession through the town, including Via Pasitea and Via Cristoforo Colombo. The festivities included the appearance of the Madonna in Piazza dei Mulini, accompanied by the throwing of rose petals, fireworks, and music from the Giffoni band. Local restaurants participated in the communal celebration.
In Morgnaga, a hamlet of Gardone Riviera, a five-year jubilee celebration took place from October 8 to 11. The village was decorated with lights and flowers to mark the occasion. The program included daily rosaries, masses, and a concert by the Corale San Nicolò at the Church of Sant’Antonio Abate. The festivities concluded with a procession of the Madonna's statue through the medieval streets, accompanied by the ‘Giuseppe Verdi’ band from Toscolano Maderno.
