Italian towns celebrate patron saints with July festivals

The Sicilian town of Patti will hold its annual Santa Febronia patronal festivities from July 22 to 26. Activities include religious ceremonies at the basilica cathedral, a children's game day, a solemn procession, and a series of civil events such as concerts, a wine‑poetry evening, performances for seniors and people with disabilities, and a fireworks display.

In Sardinia, Sinnai honors its patron saint Santa Barbara with a weekend of masses, a procession through the historic centre, a communal dinner, theatrical and musical shows, fireworks and a poetry competition. Both towns combine prayer, tradition and cultural entertainment to reinforce community bonds during the summer celebrations.
