Italian towns Cuveglio and Comiso upgrade school and sports facilities

The municipality of Cuveglio has begun a 225,000‑euro refurbishment of the sports area adjoining its secondary school. In the Sicilian town of Comiso, works are under way to install a new lighting system at the Pedalino sports field. The upgrade, announced by municipal assessor Giovanni Assenza, aims to address long‑standing vandalism and deterioration that prevented evening use. The lighting will allow training and matches after dark, expanding opportunities for youth and community sports groups, with the next step being the approval of the tribune for safe spectator access.
