Italian towns grapple with water supply works and delays

In Civitella del Tronto (Abruzzo), opposition councilors Andrea Sbranchella, Nicoletta Vattilana and Vincenzino Di Luigi have called for a clear update on the Gabbiano well project, which was promoted as a key measure to strengthen local water availability. They allege uncertainty over the progress of the works and demand that the municipal administration disclose any delays or difficulties.

Meanwhile, the Acquedotto del Fiora announced scheduled maintenance on the “Poggioferro per Colle di Lupo” conduit on 4 August, affecting the municipalities of Scansano and Magliano in Tuscany. The works are expected to interrupt water flow to several localities from 08:00 until roughly 15:00, with service restoration anticipated by 20:00. Residents may also experience temporary water turbidity during and shortly after the repairs.
