Italian towns host events honoring iconic female singers

The municipality of Giulianova held a ceremony at the town’s port where singer Fiorella Mannoia was presented with three ceramic works as a tribute to her public advocacy for women’s rights. The honor was delivered by local officials, including the assessors for Social Policies and Culture and the president of the Equality Commission, highlighting the city’s commitment to gender‑equality messages alongside the concert.

In Castello al Monte, the project “Voci di Donne” was staged in the piazzale degli Smeducci, featuring Mafalda Minnozzi’s tribute to Italian vocal legends Mina and Ornella Vanoni. The free performance showcased a curated selection of songs that marked the careers of the two icons, underscoring their transformative impact on Italian music and the broader cultural heritage of women artists.
