Italian towns host summer arts festivals in August

The town of Tricarico in southern Italy will host the world‑premiere listening of Antonio Infantino’s new album “La Ruota della Vita” on Friday, 8 August, at the municipal library courtyard. The event, organised by the local cultural circle Arci “Antonio Infantino”, will be the only place in the world where the full album can be heard before its official release.

From 9 to 11 August, the nearby village of Pezzolo will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Trinacria Arts Festival. The three‑day program brings together six international artists—including Kassy Fang, Gretchen Hasse, Zoe Map, Shelby Nower, Davide Grosso (SINE) and Nada Tomić—for performances, installations and workshops that engage the community and the historic setting of the town.

Both events highlight the vibrant cultural scene in the Basilicata region, offering residents and visitors a series of unique artistic experiences over the August weekend.
