Italian towns host summer reggae and indie music festivals

On Thursday, 6 August, Castiglione della Pescaia in Tuscany will hold a free PopCast reggae night as part of the Castiglione Sound Festival. The lineup includes historic Italian reggae band Quartiere Coffee, guest act Mellow Mood, opening set by 21 Grammi and a closing DJ set by Matte Shaker.

The same evening, the Nuvole Sonore series continues at the Castle of Corigliano d’Otranto in Apulia. Journalist Roberto Molle will present his new book on music, with introductions by Federico Guglielmi and Amerigo Verardi, while the event is hosted by Max Nocco, who also curates the series. The program features discussions, vinyl sets and a focus on independent music culture.
