Italian towns host traditional religious and community festivals

Various towns across Italy are hosting traditional religious and community festivals throughout September.

In Santo Stefano di Rogliano, celebrations in honor of Santa Liberata are underway, organized by the diocesan Sanctuary and the Parish of Santo Stefano Protomartire. The festivities include a novena, daily Rosary recitations, and musical accompaniment by bagpipes (zampogne) through the streets. The program is scheduled to conclude on September 20 with solemn Masses and processions.

Sferracavallo is observing its 179th year of festivities dedicated to Saints Cosma and Damiano. The month-long event features religious processions, historical rowing regattas, and various musical performances. Key upcoming events include a solemn procession of the saints on September 27.

In Sarroch, the community is preparing for the four-day festival of Santa Vittoria. The program combines religious services, such as the Triduo and a traditional procession, with civil activities including a Motor Day, stunt shows, sports reviews, and cabaret performances.
