Italian towns host weekend festivals and street‑food celebrations
A series of cultural events kicked off across the Marche region this weekend. In Gabicce Mare, the "Turismo in Festa" programme opened with a Beatles tribute by the group The Bloody Mary, followed by a theatre‑musical show on the English‑Italian music scene and a performance by Zio Rufus and the Sesiòn Cubana Orchestra. Gradara hosted an open‑air wine‑tasting route called “Degustazioni sotto le stelle”, while Vallefoglia celebrated the Sardinian community with traditional food and music. Osteria Nuova marked the tenth edition of the Palio dei Carrettieri, featuring local competition, music and cuisine.
Meanwhile, in Tripi, Sicily, the municipal administration organised the street‑food festival “Terre di Abakainon”. The event showcased local gastronomic products, crafts and cultural heritage, and included a live rock set by the Sikelio Project. Organisers highlighted the project’s aim to promote the area’s historic identity and create new market opportunities for producers.
