The municipality of Porto San Giorgio completed installation of four new 8‑megapixel, zoom‑capable cameras in key downtown locations, bringing the total to 100 operational cameras covering the city’s eight‑square‑kilometre area. The deployment, coordinated with the Prefecture and the Fermo police headquarters, is aimed at strengthening crime prevention, traffic monitoring and protection of public spaces.

In Caltanissetta, the local government has upgraded its video‑surveillance system by linking more than 120 observation points to a fiber‑optic FTTH network supplied by Open Fiber. The upgrade provides 234 video streams from the historic centre, main arteries, parks and schools, enabling real‑time traffic management, waste‑control monitoring and faster police response. Open Fiber has invested roughly €10 million, extending ultra‑fast connectivity to over 28 000 premises and supporting the city’s digital transition while respecting privacy safeguards.
