Italian towns launch free summer creative workshops for children

The municipal library in Tribiano has reopened its summer reading competition, "Il Lettore d'Oro," inviting children aged 6 to 11 to read books and submit drawings and reviews. The 2026 edition adds new awards for the most creative illustration and the best book review, aiming to stimulate literary interest through playful activities.

In Brusciano, the Longano Baby studio, in partnership with the Parrocchia del Sacro Cuore di Pontecitra, is offering three free, smartphone‑free workshops for youngsters. Activities include a Painting Day on 21 June, a ceramics session on 28 June, and a gardening day on 12 July, each designed to encourage hands‑on creativity and community solidarity. All events provide a snack and are open to children of all ages, with donations supporting local social projects.
