Italian towns mark milestone anniversaries with concerts and reunions
On July 25 in Val di Sella, Trentino, the SAT and Valsella choirs performed a concert titled “Per Alcide” to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the SAT choir, the 90th anniversary of the Valsella choir, and the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic and regional autonomy. The event highlighted themes of community, civic responsibility and the cultural legacy of Alcide De Gasperi, and inaugurated the “Sentiero della Responsabilità” trail as part of the “I Sentieri di Alcide” project.
In Alba Adriatica, officials marked the town’s 70th anniversary with a series of public celebrations. Amid the festivities, longtime residents Luisa Palazzese and Maurizio Marcellusi, who had not seen each other for decades since their school days at the Corropoli boarding school, unexpectedly reunited, underscoring the personal memories tied to the municipal milestone.
