Italian towns of Sant’Angelo a Cupolo and Fossato di Vico host annual food festivals in August
The municipality of Sant’Angelo a Cupolo announced the 50th edition of the Sagra del Cecatiello, a traditional pasta‑making festival scheduled for 14 August. Mayor Alessandro De Pierro highlighted the event’s role in preserving local culture and attracting thousands of visitors, while the Pro Loco president Carmine Bavaro emphasized its social and cultural value. A glass‑mosaic artwork by Giuseppe Bruno will be displayed, and the festival will be dedicated to the memory of General Renato Russo.
Meanwhile, the town of Fossato di Vico is preparing the 11th edition of the Sagra del Cinghiale, running from 9 to 12 August. Organized by the Gruppo Folgore and supported by Mayor Lorenzo Polidori, the festival features a menu with at least 65 % wild boar dishes, gastronomic stands, live music, and traditional games. The event is promoted as a way to showcase local cuisine and strengthen community ties.
