Italian towns roll out school aid programmes for 2026‑27

Municipalities across Italy have opened a series of applications for school‑related assistance for the 2026‑27 academic year.

In Corato, families can apply online for the school transport service until 14 September, with reduced fees for low‑income households and exemptions for children with severe disabilities. Sulmona and Piombino have published notices for summer‑camp subsidies and nursery‑school contributions, offering up to €300 per child and additional €100 for those covered by Law 104/1992.

Regional and city authorities are also providing textbook vouchers and book‑purchase vouchers. Rome Capital launched the “Buoni Libro” scheme, granting €175‑230 per student depending on grade, while Siena announced “Buoni Scuola” grants of €200‑500 for preschoolers in private schools. The Lazio region, via the Rieti office, will fund free or partially‑free textbooks for families with an ISEE below €15 493.71.

The ERDIS agency in Marche released a scholarship call for university students, with applications due 28 August. Additional support includes a €80 500 grant from Emilia‑Romagna to Ferrara for pre‑school activities and over €2.7 million in EU FSE+ funds for music‑education projects in schools throughout the region. Together, these measures aim to reduce the financial burden on families and promote broader access to education.
