Italian towns open new youth centers and activities
The city of Usmate Velate launched a new season of the Centro Giovani, a youth hub offering workshops, social events and recreational activities for people aged 11 to 30. Regular opening hours are Tuesdays 16:00‑17:30 and Thursdays 15:30‑17:30, with special events such as a FIFA tournament on July 9, a communication workshop on July 23 and participation in the Night White festival on July 4.
In Urbino, a former municipal warehouse on Via Giro del Cassero 10 was renovated under the EU‑backed PNRR Urban Regeneration fund and reopened as a large, modern space for youth gatherings. The venue includes new utilities, an outdoor area with brick paving, and will host visits, a ribbon‑cutting ceremony and performances by local bands on June 18. Both projects aim to provide safe, informal settings for young people to meet, learn and engage in community life.
