Italian towns Paliano and Catanzaro face heritage and redevelopment disputes

In Catanzaro, the Regional Administrative Court rejected a request by entrepreneur Antonio Marsico to halt the municipal order that cleared fairground rides and trampolines from a former palace site in the Giovino district. The court affirmed the city’s right to use its newly acquired, non‑disponible land for a PNRR‑funded urban regeneration project that includes green spaces and a multipurpose indoor sports facility. The entrepreneur’s appeal was dismissed for lack of a legitimate title to the area.
