Italian towns Popoli and Segrate open new community centres
In Popoli, the new oratory was inaugurated amid a ceremony that highlighted the contributions of local officials, volunteers and supporters, including Vescovo Michele Fusco and the Comitato Zonale ANSPI di Pescar. The event marked the completion of renovation work funded by the 8xMil project and featured a ribbon‑cutting attended by clergy and community members.
In Segrate, a multifunctional park was opened, offering a modern playground for children and a dedicated outdoor fitness circuit for seniors. The ribbon‑cutting was led by newly elected Mayor Francesco Di Chio, with the presence of assessor Federico Figini and local priest Padre Britto, who blessed the site. The project was praised for its inclusive, inter‑generational design and the collaboration of neighbourhood associations.
