Italian towns revamp children's playgrounds for safety

The town of Sarzana in Liguria completed a €52,841 renovation of the playground in Piazza Vittorio Veneto. New aluminum towers, slides, climbing wall, swing set, double‑seat see‑saw, spring‑loaded game, bench and rubber anti‑trauma flooring replace the old, deteriorated equipment, providing a safer, more accessible space for children and families.

In Sardinia, Lanusei began a pest‑control operation on two children’s parks – the Bosco Seleni playground and the Capitan Calamaio area – to eliminate insects. Residents were asked to avoid the sites during and shortly after the treatment. The municipality also reopened its Digital Facilitation Desk to assist citizens over 16 with online services, including SPID, electronic identity cards, and digital payments.
