Italian towns San Nullo and Isernia begin major street renewal projects
In San Nullo, the municipal administration led by Mayor Enrico Trantino has started work on the Via degli Ulivi. The 750,000‑euro project, financed through EU funds from the POC Metro 2014‑2020 programme, will replace the road surface with high‑adhesion asphalt, upgrade sidewalks, improve drainage, and renovate surrounding green spaces to enhance safety for pedestrians and drivers.
In Isernia, the San Lazzaro district’s Via Aldo Moro has been reopened after a 300,000‑euro renovation funded by the national Urban Renewal and Periphery Safety programme. Mayor Piero Castrataro and assessor Maria Teresa D’Achille presented the new urban amphitheatre, a small piazza and a refurbished basketball court, creating a community hub that links the road, local schools and a new sports facility.
