Italian towns Seravezza and Carmagnola gear up for 2027 municipal elections

In Seravezza, Riccardo Biagi was presented as the centre‑left mayoral candidate for the 2027 municipal elections. The campaign launch is scheduled for Saturday 11 July at the town’s Pro Loco, where the coalition will outline its four programme pillars – protecting the environment, long‑term planning, supporting the community and fostering public participation.

Meanwhile, Carmagnola is entering the early phase of its 2027 local elections. Incumbent mayor Ivana Gaveglio is ineligible for re‑election after two terms, prompting speculation about her future role. The centre‑right bloc is reportedly eyeing current deputy mayor Alessandro Cammarata as a potential successor, while other parties and civic lists are still formulating their candidates and platforms.

Both municipalities are witnessing a buildup of political activity and public discussion as parties prepare their lists and policy proposals ahead of the spring‑time polls.
