In Sorrento, the Prefecture of Napoli and the municipal administration approved a protocol for legality and public safety. The agreement, presented by Prefect Michele di Bari and Mayor Corrado Fattorusso, sets out measures to prevent criminal infiltration, combat corruption, and ensure transparency in line with interior‑minister directives. It also notes a 17% drop in the crime index in the first half of 2026, attributed to close cooperation among police, carabinieri, finance guard and local services.

Separately, the Prosecutor’s Office in Nocera Inferiore convened mayors from thirteen municipalities in the Agro Nocerino‑Sarnese area, including Nocera Inferiore, Nocera Superiore, Angri and others, to forge a stable pact on security. The pact reinforces collaboration with municipal police, addresses both conventional crime and environmental offences, and announced the strengthening of the Nocera Inferiore commissariat with a senior director and additional staff. Both initiatives aim to improve coordinated law‑enforcement response and promote legal compliance across the Campania region.
