Italian towns Torrevecchia and Torremaggiore launch summer cultural festivals

From 5 to 9 August 2026 the town of Torrevecchia Teatina in Abruzzo will host the 26th edition of the Letter of Love festival. The event, sponsored by the municipality, the Abruzzo region and the Italian Ministry of Culture, will take place at Palazzo Valignani and Parco San Karol and feature exhibitions, concerts, one‑man shows and a series of awards honoring contributions in literature, culture, science, industry and community service.

Meanwhile, Torremaggiore in Apulia will run its seventh “Suggestioni Sub Flore” programme from 11 August to 6 September 2026. The festival combines medieval re‑enactments, theatre, conferences, guided tours and gastronomic events, culminating in the 41st Historical Parade and a sunrise concert by Silvia Mezzanotte at Castel Fiorentino, celebrating the legacy of Emperor Frederick II.
