Italy celebrates Saint Michael the Archangel through diverse regional festivals and police commemorations
Various Italian communities and institutions are holding celebrations and events in honor of Saint Michael the Archangel.
The Polizia di Stato is organizing several commemorative events, including a ceremony in Latiano (Brindisi) and exhibitions in Catanzaro featuring historical uniforms and vintage vehicles. A provincial celebration for the police force will also take place at the Basilica Sanctuary of San Michele Arcangelo in Monte Sant'Angelo.
Local cultural and commercial festivities are occurring across multiple regions. Castelnovo ne’ Monti is hosting its 554th Fiera di San Michele, a historic market and community event. In Santarcangelo, the Fiera di San Michele features medieval reenactments, local agricultural products, and animal exhibits. Other regional traditions include the Vunnelle costume parades in Montecelio and religious processions in Sant’Angelo.
