Italian Trail Races: Green Run-Vallombrosa Winners and Filigrana 12km Event

The Green Run‑Vallombrosa Trail took place on 26 July 2026 in the Tuscan forest of Vallombrosa. Luigi Pietrini (Isolotto Apd) won the men's race in 1 h 27 min 29 s, followed by Patrizio Bartolini and Riccardo Bianchi. Merylin Mazzotta (Sempredicorsa) secured the women's title in 1 h 50 min 57 s. The race, organized under the Uisp umbrella with support from the Reggello municipality, the Valdarno and Valdisieve unions and the Carabinieri forest command, also introduced a guided Vallombrosa Hike. Organizers announced the next event, Le Balze Trail Run, for 30 August.

The Trail della Filigrana is scheduled for 9 August 2026 in Campo Ligure, province of Genoa. Due to safety and organizational reasons, only a 12 km distance will be offered, replacing the usual 20 km route. The course starts and finishes at the Castello di Campo Ligure, traverses forest tracks, and includes multiple crossings of the Torrente Ponzema. Participants must be at least 16 years old and hold a valid medical certificate. Registration is open online, with early‑bird fees of €12 until 8 August and on‑site registration for €18.
