Italian Trail Running Events Open Registrations for 2027 and 2019 Races

Registrations are now open for the 17th Ronda Ghibellina Trail, a non‑stadia mountain‑run organized by IUTA Italia. The event will take place on 30‑31 January 2027 in Castiglion Fiorentino, Tuscany, offering four distances from 14 km (Garashort) to 70 km (Plus). Participants must carry mandatory gear, use personal containers at aid stations and comply with sustainability rules that ban disposable plastic.

The inaugural Sagrantino Running is scheduled for Sunday 3 November 2019 in Montefalco, Umbria. Runners can choose the 26‑km Trofeo Perticaia or the 13‑km Trofeo Terre de la Custodia, both on hilly, partly unpaved courses. Entry is limited to 600 athletes, who must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid FIDAL licence and wear a timing chip provided at the start. The event includes refreshment points and a post‑race pasta party.
