Italian Treasury raises 4.5 billion euros in BOT auction
The Italian Treasury has successfully completed an auction for two Treasury Bills (BOT), raising a total of 4.5 billion euros. The auction included a 12-month BOT and a 6-month BOT.
The 12-month BOT, with a remaining life of 105 days and maturing on December 14, 2026, saw 2 billion euros allocated from 3.38 billion euros in requests, resulting in a coverage ratio of 1.69. Its weighted average yield was 2.472%.
The 6-month BOT, with a remaining life of 151 days and maturing on January 29, 2027, saw 2.5 billion euros allocated from 4.13 billion euros in requests, yielding a coverage ratio of 1.64. Its weighted average yield was 2.607%.
As of August 31, 2026, the total amount of BOT in circulation stands at approximately 144.36 billion euros.
