Rai outlines comprehensive free coverage of FIFA World Cup 2026 across Canada, Mexico and US
Italy’s public broadcaster Rai has detailed its free, nationwide television plan for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be staged in Canada, Mexico and the United States. Rai 1 will air all 35 key matches live, while the remaining 69 fixtures will be covered through highlights and concise summaries.
The broadcast team includes veteran commentators Alberto Rimedio, Stefano Bizzotto and Luca De Capitani, with Tiziana Alla becoming the first female telecommentator for a World Cup. Daily sports and news programs such as "Uno Mattina" will feature dedicated World Cup segments, and special technical analysis will be provided by experts like Lele Adani and Andrea Stramaccioni.
