Italian TV personalities mourn fathers' deaths

Maurizio Diliberto, an 83‑year‑old documentary filmmaker and longtime Rai collaborator known for works about Sicily, died recently. He was the father of popular presenter and director Pierfrancesco “Pif” Diliberto, who publicly expressed his grief.

In a separate incident, a veteran actor from the long‑running soap opera Il Paradiso delle Signore announced on social media that his own father had passed away, posting the lament “È morto, non ho fatto in tempo.” Both announcements have prompted an outpouring of condolences within Italy’s television community.
