Italian universities host forensic simulations and humanities festivals

At the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, new law students participated in a crime scene simulation as part of the 2026 Freshman Day. Held at Palazzo Melzi in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, the event featured the Carabinieri, including provincial commander Colonel Federico Scarabello and various specialized officers. Students observed investigative procedures, including site inspection and evidence collection, to understand the connection between legal theory and practical investigation.

Meanwhile, the fourth edition of the Macerata Humanities Festival, organized by the University of Macerata, is entering its final stages. The festival focuses on themes of knowledge and values, featuring sessions on neuroscience, sociology, and human rights. Scheduled events include a lecture by sociologist Hartmut Rosa, a documentary presentation regarding the dissolution of a Russian human rights organization, and a special meeting dedicated to the late Andrea Angeli’s book regarding religious figures in conflict zones.
