thefaculty AI Coach launches for Italy's 2026 Open Semester

The MOOD network, a national consortium of 44 medical and dental schools coordinated by Sapienza University of Rome, has renewed and expanded its partnership with thefaculty, an EdTech platform created by SmartCreative. The collaboration introduces thefaculty AI, an artificial‑intelligence coach that offers free, personalized preparation for the 2026 Open Semester admissions to medicine, dentistry and veterinary programmes. Students begin with a diagnostic test; the AI then generates a tailored study plan, adaptive quizzes, flashcards and spaced‑repetition scheduling, and provides 24‑hour virtual coaching. Over 55,000 students used the service in its first year (2025). A cited study shows 83 % of Italian university students have tried generative AI and 49 % use it regularly, though 55 % feel their institutions lag behind. The platform also gives faculty dashboards to monitor learning trends and identify difficulties. All materials are aligned with ministerial syllabi and are available at no cost via the thefaculty app.
