Italian University Ophthalmologists hold national congress in Chieti-Pescara

The XXII National Congress of the Italian Society of University Ophthalmologists (Sou) is taking place from October 15 to 17 at the University of Chieti-Pescara. The event focuses on scientific research, technological innovation, and the training of new generations of ophthalmologists.

The congress addresses rapid transformations in the field, including artificial intelligence, advanced imaging, precision medicine, gene and cell therapies, neuroprotection, and new surgical techniques. A central theme of this edition is the active involvement of young specialists, who are participating as protagonists in scientific discussions alongside professors and researchers to bridge the gap between training, research, and clinical practice.
