Italian water utilities tackle supply cuts in Verona and restore safe water in Viterbo
Acque Veronesi reported significant pressure drops and temporary water shortages in the Lessinia area of the Verona province, affecting the communes of Roverè Veronese, Velo Veronese, San Mauro di Saline and Badia Calavena (Sprea). The company attributed the issue to a strong inflow in the eastern part of Lessinia and deployed technical teams, tankers and conservation advice to maintain service.
In Viterbo, the municipal government revoked a ban on drinking water after ARPA Lazio analyses confirmed that arsenic and fluoride levels in the San Martino Campo Sportivo network were within legal limits. Mayor Chiara Frontini signed the ordinance restoring full potable use for residents in the affected neighborhoods.
