The 13th edition of the Trofeo Principato di Monaco – Le Vele d’Epoca took place in the waters off the Lido of Venice on 27‑28 June. Organized by the Honorary Consulate of Monaco, the Yacht Club Venezia and supported by the Prince Albert II Foundation, CNR ISMAR and the Venice Sustainability Foundation, the event combined historic sailing competition with a strong focus on marine environmental protection. The programme featured two races, a traditional proceeding through the San Marco basin and a sustainability forum at the Gateway of Biodiversity.

In the same weekend, the Veneto Regional Sailing Championship was held in Venice, drawing numerous crews despite temperatures near 40 °C. Young athletes such as Brando and Giacomo were highlighted for their performances, and the event marked the conclusion of the first half of the sailing season.

Earlier in June, the Italian Individual Canna da Riva fishing championship concluded in Civitavecchia, where Alberto Meterc secured a full‑score victory among 80 finalists despite venue changes caused by dock extension works.

Later in the year, Marina Dorica will host the Regata del Conero 2026 from 18‑20 September, including exhibition races of the America’s Cup with the boats Azzurra and Italia 2, aiming to attract large crowds and promote accessibility to sailing events.
