Italian wine estates highlight new autumn releases

Several Italian wine estates are highlighting new releases and multigenerational legacies for the autumn season. In Tuscany, notable releases include the 2023 Solaia from Antinori, described as having integrated tannins and notes of forest berries, and the 2023 Masseto, characterized by its aromatic detail of red and black berries.

Other Tuscan producers featuring new vintages include Petrolo with its 2024 Galatrona and Tenuta La Massa with its 2023 Asiram and Giorgio Primo.

Family-owned estates are also gaining attention for their seasonal offerings. In Montalcino, the San Polo estate, managed by sisters Carlotta and Caterina Allegrini, produces Brunello di Montalcino suited for hearty autumn dishes. In Piedmont, the Ceretto family offers Barolo and Barbaresco, emphasizing biodynamic farming. Additionally, the third-generation Cotarella sisters lead Famiglia Cotarella, producing structured reds like Montiano for holiday meals.
