Italian wine festivals launch in Reggio Calabria and Magliano this August

The Vinitaly and the City event will be held on 8–9 August on Reggio Calabria’s Lungomare Falcomatà. Organized by the Calabria regional agriculture department, Veronafiere and the city, the festival will showcase regional and national wines alongside archaeological and cultural attractions. Regional Agriculture Assessor Gianluca Gallo highlighted the record participation in Sibari as proof of the format’s success, and Veronafiere President Federico Bricolo called the Reggio debut a new step for the growing series.

Separately, the 25th‑anniversary Vinellando festival is scheduled for 21–22 August in the historic centre of Magliano in Toscana (Grosseto). The municipality‑run event celebrates the Morellino wine of the Maremma, featuring master‑classes, local artisans, music and a record number of participating wineries. Mayor Gabriele Fusini said the three‑year revival has restored the festival to “its former splendour” and attracted unprecedented public interest.
