Italian wine industry receives major international honors

The Italian wine industry is celebrating significant recognitions. The Antica Bottega del Vino in Verona has secured the Wine Spectator Grand Award for 2026, marking 23 consecutive years of receiving this top international honor. The establishment, which features a cellar of approximately 20,000 bottles, is one of only six Italian restaurants to achieve this specific level of recognition.

Additionally, the fifth edition of the Venice International Wine Trophy is scheduled for September 2026. The event will include technical tastings on September 22 in Lonigo, led by a jury including Aldo Lorenzoni and Giuseppe Casagrande. The awards ceremony will take place on September 26 at Villa Farsetti in Santa Maria di Sala, where winners will receive prestigious Bollini Gondola ratings based on rigorous quality standards.
