Italian wine industry updates: new guide released and Valle d'Aosta quality rises

The editorial phase for the 2027 edition of La Guida Essenziale ai Vini d’Italia has concluded. This year’s guide features 3,476 wines from 347 companies, including 910 selections highlighted for their quality-to-price ratio.

In regional news, a Winemag tasting of 66 labels from Valle d'Aosta revealed significant quality growth in the area. Approximately 74.2% of the evaluated labels achieved scores of 90 points or higher. The Vallée d’Aoste Chambave Muscat 2025 received the highest score of 94 points. Despite the high quality of local varieties and international grape interpretations, experts note that limited production and insufficient communication remain challenges for the region's producers.
