Italian wine producers highlight regional varieties in new releases and events

Tenuta dell’Oltrepò has introduced Ottavia, a new 2021 vintage Pinot Nero. Led by Ottavia Vistarino, the winery is expanding its focus from traditional Metodo Classico sparkling wines to red wine production, utilizing parcel-based processing techniques on the San Silvestro vineyard.

In Milan, the Consorzio Emilia-Romagna and AIS Milano will host “L’Emilia-Romagna nel calice: tra DOC e DOCG” on November 16. The event features a masterclass and tasting session focused on Pignoletto, showcasing over 70 labels ranging from Emilia-Romagna DOC to Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto DOCG.
