Italian Wine Tourism Routes Showcase Prosecco and Collio Regions

A new 50‑kilometre cycling itinerary, the Strada del Prosecco, links Conegliano and Valdobbiadene across the UNESCO‑listed Prosecco hills of Veneto. The low‑traffic route passes historic villages, medieval abbeys and castles, offering stops at local osterias and scenic viewpoints.

In Friuli‑Venezia Giulia, a complementary itinerary runs from the Collio wine area to Venice, highlighting the Borgo Conventi estate founded by Gianni Vescovo. The tour combines tastings of the region’s mineral‑rich wines, sustainable viticulture practices, high‑end cuisine and cultural stops such as the Guggenheim exhibition, illustrating the blend of wine, food and art in the northeast of Italy.
